Ushak carpets or Oushak Carpets are Turkish carpets that use a particular family of designs, called by convention after the city of Usak, Turkey, one of the larger towns in Western Anatolia, which was a major center of rug production from the early days of the Ottoman Empire, into the early 20th century (although these patterns were woven in other regions also)
This kind of old oushak rugs are between 60-80 years old.Normally we get this kind of rugs from villages in Anatolia.Original colours are mainly navy blue and red.
We spread this rugs under the sun 2-3 months in summer.
Finally each rug gets beautiful earth colour tones.We dont use chemicals .Only lay under the sun then rugs losing their colors.
